This was an unfinished project last year not long after i got my hands first time on XSI3.0
The bot was created using splines instead of polygons from a simple object. I used procedural textures with reflection map from a bitmap. It was rendered using mental ray tracer (i luv it) without global illumination to minimize the rendering time.
Recently i added noise effect on the mask in photoshop to give it more seamless bumped metallic surface. Its a quite big pic so beware.
